Tanjung Putting National Park has some type of ecosystem that consists of lowland tropical rain forests, dry land forest, freshwater swamp forests, mangrove forests, coastal forests, and secondary forests.
This area is dominated by lowland forest plants such as jelutung (Dyera costulata), ramin (Gonystylus bancanus), meranti (Shorea sp.) Keruing (Dipterocarpus sp.), And rattan.

Tanjung Putting National Park is the first location in Indonesia as an orangutan rehabilitation center. There are three locations for the rehabilitation of orangutans in Tanjung Harapan, Pondok Tanggui, and Camp Leakey.

How to reach the location:
How to reach the location: Jakarta-Semarang-Pangkalan Bun (plane) or by ship Semarang-Pangkalan Bun. By land vehicles from Pangkalan Bun to Kumai about 20 minutes (8 miles). Furthermore, from Kumai to the Cape of Good Hope using klotok for 1.5 to 2 hours, or Kumai – Natai Galangal for 4-5 hours. Using a fast boat from Kumai – Tanjung Harapan for 0.5 – 1 hour, from Kumai – Camp Leakey for 1.5 – 2 hours, and from Kumai to Natai Galangal for 1.5 – 2 hours.
